Summer Sneakers

For rising K through rising 6th graders.  Weeks will have themes like On the Move, Days of Thunder, Roaring Rapids, and Outdoor Adventure. 

Youth will go on fun and educational field trips at least once every two weeks; likely destinations include Jumpology, Richmond BMX, Randolph Macon College, TV and radio stations, the Richmond Zoo, and the Mattaponi River for a River Day with 4-H and the Department of Forestry.

Campers will play and lead games, participate in service learning projects, compete in sports, learn from guest speakers, create crafts, and build teamwork through different challenges.

Summer Sneakers will not meet on Thursday and Friday, July 2 and 3.


Lunch and Supplies

Lunch is included!  Please provide two snacks for your child.  

Bring a water bottle and sneakers.  


Pricing and Discounts

Sign up for the full summer, 3 days per week, a single week, or a Punch Card to drop in!  Please note: Punch Card Campers will need to pay for field trips.
New discounts this year:

• Siblings receive a 7% discount! 



• Kids who will come to the program only 3 days/week: $85/ week; sibling discount applies in addition!

Payments are accepted on a weekly, monthly basis, or one-time basis.  


How to Register

Register online or visit our office!  Here is how you can submit payment:

• Submit payment to a Program Supervisor on site weekly, monthly, or on a one-time basis



• Mail a check to the Parks and Rec office

Registration Deadline for the 5 Days per Week Full Time Camper and 3 Days per Week Full Summer Camper is June 15!  There will be a $5 late registration fee starting June 16.
